Whitevane Fishery Rules
- Micro barbed hooks only.
- No nuts
- Minimum of 12lb mainline
- No fixed leads
- Running rigs, lead clips or semi-fixed inline leads only
- There’ll be no sacking or retention of fish unless specifically authorised by the management
- Scales, weigh slings, cameras etc. must be all ready for use before the fish is removed from the water
- Fish must be left in the landing net in the water until everything is ready and must be out of the water for the minimum amount of time possible
- Fish must not be lifted above knee height
- Any damaged, diseased or dead fish must be reported to the management immediately
- Patrons are asked to report, in confidence, any suspicious behaviour to the fishery owner/ bailiff. All fish MUST be returned to the lake
- Anyone trying to remove fish from the fishery will MOST DEFINITELY be prosecuted
- There is a security procedure in operation
- When an angler is opposite you, please cast no further than the centre if you are unsure please ask the bailiff
- No surface fishing allowed due to wildfowl
- Fishing only from designated areas. No stalking
- All litter and nylon must be removed from the fishery and placed in the bin by the fishing lodge. Anglers fishing a swim that has litter strewn around will be deemed responsible for the litter and will be asked to leave the venue.
- No dogs, guns or weapons of any kind, radios or excessive noise. You will be responsible for your own swim
- Any knives carried must be suitable fishing equipment or eating utensils
- No fires or unsupported BBQ’s (must be raised from the ground), no continuous burning lights at night
- Alcohol in moderation!
- Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated. This includes the use of any illegal substances.
- There is an angler’s toilet. Please use it!
- Sorry no anglers under 18 are permitted on this lake
- One spectator (over 18 only) per fisherman only
- Spectators will be charged 50% of the person they are spectating for insurance purposes
- No rods to be left unattended at any time
- Bait boats are permitted but must be used with consideration for others and any wildlife
- No echo sounders or sonar boats to be used
- No trespassing into the adjoining fields or woodland. Anyone caught entering/leaving the fishery outside hours will be treated as a criminal and may be prosecuted
- The management accepts no responsibility for injury, death, loss, damage or theft to persons, cars or equipment whilst on the fishery and reserves the right to close the fishery at any time. Damage to the fishery will result in prosecution
- For security purposes night fishermen’s vehicles will be locked in on site at closing time until 7.00am the following morning. Anglers may leave during the night for emergencies only.
- No lead core leaders are to be used under any circumstances.
- No braided main lines are allowed, except for marker/spod rods.
- Please use safety rigs. RIGS WILL BE CHECKED.
- All cars must be parked in designated areas.
- The management reserves the right to examine any vehicle on or leaving the property to ensure that fish are not being removed, transferred illegally, or stolen.
- This right may only be exercised in the presence of the person using the vehicle, but refusal to co-operate may result in the termination of the vehicle owner’s rights to fish and/or be on the property.
- Persons fishing at Whitevane Fishery do so at their own risk.
- It is the angler’s responsibility to ensure they are protected and are aware of the dangers of fishing before entering Whitevane Fishery.
- All decisions made by the management are final and not subject to appeal !!.
